Explora Installation Guide: What to Expect

Booked an Explora installation? Here’s exactly what your technician will do — and how long it should take.

1. Site assessment

We check your existing dish, LNB and cabling. Most Exploras need a Smart LNB upgrade.

2. Smart LNB install

We replace your existing LNB with a Smart LNB, weatherproof the connections and re-align the dish for maximum signal strength.

3. Decoder setup

We connect the Explora, activate it with MultiChoice, scan channels and configure recordings, BoxOffice and Catch Up.

4. Walk-through

Before we leave, we show you exactly how to use your remote, recordings and Catch Up. Most full Explora installs take 60–90 minutes.
