DStv error codes can look scary but most have simple causes. Here’s a quick reference.
E48-32
‘No signal being received’. Usually caused by a knocked dish, cable fault or LNB issue. Try a reboot first.
E16
Smartcard / subscription issue. Confirm your account is paid up and active in the DStv app.
E30 / E143
Decoder cannot communicate with the smartcard. Re-seat the smartcard (gold side correct way around).
